Intro: The words harvest and reaper go together like sower and reaper. The seed is what is sown, planted in the field ( it perpetuates - reproduces itself....) the harvest is the time when the crops are ripe for gathering, and the reaper is the person (s) that gather successfully the crops from the field.

I’ve had a little experience with agriculture . My dad did some gardening (field) adjacent to our house. It was about 1/2 acre or so. He planted different types of vegetables in the garden. We all labored together keeping it free from weeds to allow the plants to have the best chance to thrive ( Needed plenty of water). I can remember my dad telling me we would take from the garden what we needed, share with others, but let nothing “ Go to seed”. I understood him to mean, not to leave anything that could be used to eat. Not to let anything be wasted and rot! What he did was to invite others who wanted to labor and get the rest, they were welcomed.
